What Catholics Really Believe!

What Catholics really believe
Hosted by St. Louis Young Adults, this Catechism 101 series will be held on Tuesdays, May 8 - June 26th, from 7pm-9pm.
The 8-week series will include topics on Jesus, Scripture and Tradition, all the Sacraments, Morality, Mary, St. Peter and the Papacy, and Purgatory.

If you feel like sometimes you aren’t sure what the Catholic faith really teaches, or how to answer questions about certain topics, come to to this crash course and refresh your knowledge.

All are welcome. Study guides are needed. RSVP’s are necessary by Friday, May 4th. Information will be provided upon contacting Lauren DePue at ldepue@mail.utexas.edu

Camp Bapchule Info Session

Camp Bapchule, a summer mission experience coordinated by the University Catholic Center at UT-Austin and a student group from Notre Dame, has room for more missionaries and wants you! This year’s trip takes place June 16-24, 2007.

Camp Bapchule is a week-long vacation bible school and retreat program for the children on the Gila River Indian Reservation in central Arizona. While giving the kids positive role models and helping them experience the loving touch of God, the staff also is able to see first hand the conditions that exist on today’s Native American reservations.

John Michael Talbot Concert

John Michael Talbot, an internationally-renown Christian music performer, will present his Solo Concert Tour Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Road, Austin. The tour is a return to John Michael’s trademark solo guitar and voice. From beginning to end, John Michael provides a concert experience that takes an audience on a spiritual journey of prayer, praise and worship.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit St. Louise House, a project of VinCare Services and efforts to provide additional transitional housing for homeless women and their children. In addition a free will offering will be collected to support the work of Mercy Corps, an international relief and development agency.

Traveling Mass

In April, we’ll be attending the new Sunday evening Mass at St. Catherine’s, which is located at 4800 Convict Hill Road. We’ll meet before hand at 4:45 by the baptismal font, and again after Mass.
